Veteran Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, currently playing a key role for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in IPL 2025, recently made an appearance on The Ranveer Show podcast. In a candid chat with host Ranveer Allahbadia, the 34-year-old opened up about his admiration for Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan and how it shaped his early IPL loyalties.
During the podcast, the swing specialist revealed he was a fan of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) during the inaugural IPL season in 2008 all because of Shah Rukh Khan’s association with the franchise.

Speaking on a podcast, Bhuvneshwar Kumar also revealed what he bought with the money from his first-ever IPL contract. "I had taken a car (from first IPL contract) But I do not remember if it was before or after the contract. I had taken a swift. I do not have the wish for having anything flashy," he said.
