RRR actor Jr NTR sparked health concerns after a recent photo of him from Dubai went viral, showing him in a noticeably lean avatar, suggesting a sudden and drastic weight loss transformation. While the actor's expensive shirt sparked conversations, it was his noticeable weight loss that grabbed most of the attention, with many speculating whether he had used Ozempic to shed the weight.
However, it has now been confirmed that the actor is not on Ozempic but is instead following a new diet. According to Hindustan Times, their sources stated, "NTR is healthy and not on Ozempic if that is what is being asked."
Further, the sources added, "He is fine and has been following a new diet. He has been working on his next film with (filmmaker) Prashanth Neel, and for his look in it, he has adapted a new fitness regime since February. The transformation is a result of that."
Jr NTR's highly anticipated film, tentatively titled NTR31, is set to hit theatres on January 9, 2026.
Earlier, the actor revealed that he was body-shamed and trolled when he was fat. Reportedly, he had undergone liposuction to lose weight for his movie Yama Donga.
On his game show, Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu, the actor had revealed that he was called ugly and was made of due to his obesity.
On the work front, Jr NTR will be seen next in War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani in the lead. The film will be directed by Ayan Mukerji and is set to release on August 14, 2025.
War 2 will be coinciding with the release of Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj's Coolie.
