Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Union Ministry of AYUSH and the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) New Delhi have recognized 28 Ayurvedic Medical Colleges in Madhya Pradesh for the academic session 2025-26.
These colleges include 7 government Ayurvedic colleges in Bhopal, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Rewa, Ujjain, Indore and Burhanpur and 21 private Ayurvedic medical colleges.
As per the report, 598 Ayurveda colleges are operating across the country including 34 Ayurveda colleges in Madhya Pradesh.

Meanwhile, School of Ayurvedic Science, Sardar Ajit Singh Smriti Ayurved College, Ramkrishna College of Ayurveda, and Mansarovar Ayurved Medical College in Bhopal have been granted recognition for 100 UG (BAMS) seats each.
Dr Rakesh Pandey, National Spokesperson of Ayush Medical Association, said, “ Out of 34 Ayurved colleges in Madhya Pradesh, 28 have been granted recognition and while six are still pending.
There are more than 40,000 seats in 598 Ayurvedic medical colleges across the country, including approximately 3,000 UG seats in Madhya Pradesh.”
