Mistakes To Avoid During Gupt Navratri: Ashadh Gupt Navratri 2025 is starting on Thursday, June 26 and this festival will be celebrated till July 4. This Navratri is a special form of nine-day Durga worship, which is considered very important for sadhana and power acquisition. According to the Hindu calendar, Navratri comes four times every year, in which Chaitra and Sharadiya Navratri is celebrated publicly on a large scale, while the Navratris coming in the months of Ashadha and Magh are called "Gupta Navratri". In these Gupt Navratris, the worship of Goddess Durga is done in a confidential and sadhana form, especially the tantriks, sadhaks, and meditators who consider this time to be very fruitful for attaining siddhi.

In these nine days, nine forms of Maa Durga are worshiped, but instead of traditional worship, sadhana is done with special tantric methods. For the sadhaks, this is the time to remain absorbed in sadhana while following restraint, solitude, and rules. Let us know what the auspicious time for Ghatasthapana on the first day of Ashadha Gupt Navratri and what things should be kept in mind during these nine days.

Auspicious time for Ghatasthapana

Morning Ghatasthapana Muhurta: 05:45 am to 07:14 am

Abhijit Muhurta: 11:46 am to 12:38 pm

Duration: Total 52 minutes

Keep these rules in mind.

Avoid meat, alcohol, and tamasic food completely. The nine days of Gupt Navratri are considered very sacred for spiritual and mental purification. In such a situation, consumption of tamasic elements like meat, alcohol, garlic, and onion can bring negative energy inside you, which can hinder the sadhana. During this time, eat satvik food, such as fruits, milk, and vegetarian light food.

Take special care of cleanliness and purity. It is essential to have a pure body, mind, and place for the worship of the goddess. Wear clean clothes after bathing daily and keep the place of worship clean, well-organized, and fragrant. Dirt and disorder can reduce the effect of sadhana.

Keep the place of worship quiet and organized. Decide a special place for sadhana in Gupt Navratri, where there is peace and there is no frequent movement. Worshiping in an unholy or messy place can reduce the grace of the Goddess.

Control your speech, behavior, and thoughts. Avoid negative emotions like anger, harsh words, lies, and insults during this holy time. Remain as polite, calm, and tolerant as possible. Do not criticize or insult anyone – doing so can displease Maa Durga.

Touch the idol and worship material of the Mother with respect. Do not touch the idol, urn, or worship material of the Mother without bathing or with dirty hands. Disrespecting any object related to the Goddess can hinder the sadhana.

Maintain concentration during worship. The sadhana of Gupt Navratri is serious and confidential. Getting up in the middle of worship, talking, or getting distracted affects the energy of Sadhana. Therefore, keep a distance from mobile, etc. during worship and concentrate with full devotion.

Be sure to chant mantras and hymns. Recite the Beej Mantra, Stuti, Chalisa, or Saptashati of Maa Durga daily. This not only strengthens the Sadhana but also provides mental peace and inner strength.
