The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has postponed the CA Final and Intermediate examinations scheduled for 3rd and 4th September 2025 at select centres in Punjab and Jammu City.
The announcement was made on Tuesday, as a partial modification to the Institute’s earlier notification dated 30th May 2025.
The postponement follows reports of heavy rainfall and flooding in parts of Punjab and Jammu, which disrupted normal operations and created logistical challenges for conducting the exams.
ICAI clarified that the decision is limited to specific centres, and examinations in other regions will continue as planned.

ICAI has not announced new dates for the affected examinations, however, it should be noted that any updates will be published on the Institute’s official website, www.icai.org.
All other details communicated in the 30th May 2025 notification remain unchanged.

Floodwaters from the Sutlej, Beas and Ravi rivers, along with seasonal rivulets, have inundated large parts of the state following heavy rainfall in upstream areas of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.
In Jammu and Kashmir, heavy rain and flash floods since August 14 have caused damage in Kishtwar, Kathua, Reasi and Ramban districts. Record rainfall on August 26-27 led to flooding in several low-lying areas of Jammu.
