She is a renowned 90s Bollywood actress who later became an advocate, as well as a singer, producer, social activist, and entrepreneur. At that time, Kumar Sanu was facing personal struggles, and Kunickaa became a support system for him. Their bond grew stronger, and she admitted they had a relationship while he was still married. She revealed that Kumar Sanu was going through a difficult phase, even attempting to harm himself during that trip.
Following this period, their connection deepened. Kumar Sanu began living separately from his wife, which allowed him and Kunickaa to spend more time together. Their private relationship lasted nearly five years, with Kunickaa describing herself as being "like a wife to him, considering him like her husband."
Eventually, Kunickaa and Kumar Sanu parted ways. He later married his current wife, Saloni, and they have two daughters.
