Adani Power Q4 cons PAT falls 4% YoY to Rs 2,637 crore

Adani Power on Wednesday reported a 4% year-on-year (YoY) fall in its Q4FY25 consolidated net profit to Rs 2,637 crore as compared to Rs 2,737 crore reported in the year ago period. The profit is attributable to the equity holders of the parent.

The company's revenue in the March-ended quarter stood at Rs 14,237 crore, which was up 6.5% YoY versus Rs 13,364 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last financial year.

The profit after tax (PAT) declined 14% on a sequential basis as the company had reported a bottom line of Rs 3,057.21 in Q3FY25.

Meanwhile, 4% sequential drop in topline was reported in the quarter under review versus Rs 13,671 crore in the October-December quarter of FY25.

Adani Power's Q4 expenses jumped 9% YoY to Rs 11,274 crore from Rs 10,324 crore in the year ago period while growing 4.6% sequentially versus 10,775 crore in Q3FY25.

The company's full-year PAT fell 38% to Rs 12,939 crore versus Rs 20,829 crore in FY24. As for the revenues, a 12% YoY uptick was reported.

The earnings were announced minutes before the market closed, and Adani Power shares fell 3.5% to close at Rs 529.50 on the NSE.

Segment revenue
Adani Power earned Rs 14,141 crore from power generation and related activities versus Rs 13,671 crore in Q3FY25 and Rs 13,071 crore in Q4FY24. The trading, investment and other activities revenue stood at Rs 96.03 crore, down from Rs 292.65 crore in the year ago period.

Adani Power's profit before tax (PBT) for the reported quarter stood at Rs 3,261 crore which was down from Rs 4,059 crore in Q3FY25 and Rs 3,558 crore in Q4FY24.

Company's assets grew to Rs 1,12,918 crore in Q4FY25 versus Rs 1,12,370 crore in Q3FY25 and Rs 92,325 crore in the year ago period. While the growth was a marginal 0.5% QoQ, on the YoY basis it was 22% jump.
