In a shocking incident near Mumbai, a 32-year-old woman and her three young daughters were found dead in what appears to be a mass suicide. The woman, along with her daughters aged 4, 7, and 12, was discovered hanging inside their home in Fene village, Bhiwandi, when her husband returned from work on Saturday morning.
The heartbreaking discovery was made by Lalji Banwarilala Bharti, a power loom worker, who had gone for his night shift. Upon returning around 9 AM on Saturday, Lalji Banwarilala Bharti repeatedly knocked on the door but received no response. Concerned, he looked through a small window and was left stunned by the horrific scene that awaited him—his wife, Punita, and their three daughters were all hanging.
The family lived in a chawl in Fene gaon, a typical working-class neighborhood near Mumbai. Lalji, aged 31, had left for work the previous day, and there were no signs of distress when he left. The reason behind the tragedy remains unclear, and police are currently investigating the matter to understand what led to this devastating outcome.
Police have confirmed the identities of the victims: Punita, the mother; Nandini, aged 12; Neha, aged 7; and Anu, aged 4. Their deaths have left the entire community in shock. The incident has raised serious concerns about mental health and the pressures that may affect families, especially in rural and semi-urban areas.
The local authorities are examining all aspects of the case, including the family’s background, their financial situation, and any possible underlying issues that might have contributed to this tragic event. Investigators are also trying to determine whether any external factors, such as domestic abuse or financial strain, played a role in this heartbreaking incident.
The authorities have not yet made any public statements regarding the exact cause of death, but they continue to gather evidence as they try to piece together the events leading to the mass suicide. The investigation is ongoing, and the police are likely to provide more information once they have a clearer picture of the circumstances surrounding this deeply distressing case.
