Kishtwar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], September 18(ANI): BJP's Kishtwar candidate Shagun Parihar on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on opposition candidates from the PDP and National Conference, accusing them of attempting to undermine her by alleging that she was playing the victim card to gain sympathy.
"The (PDP) candidate came here and said this girl is playing the victim card and trying to get sympathy. I felt bad. I said, 'Why would I play the victim card? You have made me a victim,'" Parihar said. She described an incident where PDP and National Conference workers allegedly tried to disrupt the polling process. According to Parihar, these workers entered the polling area and attempted to create chaos. "Their workers came inside, where polling is taking place. No one can come there. The party runs, throw the party out, we will show this to her," she added.
Parihar claimed that despite the disruptions, the situation returned to normal and polling continued without major issues. "There was probably one person who did not have the identity card, and the rest was normal," she said. She dismissed concerns about polling irregularities as minor and manageable.
While casting her vote, Parihar spoke about her vision for the future of Jammu and Kashmir. "Just think and find out what you have to do after exercising your right to vote. What will you do with the victory and what will be the issues?" she said. She expressed confidence in a BJP victory and criticised the coalition government of the National Conference, PDP, and Congress. "The BJP government will be formed in Jammu and Kashmir, and this coalition government of National Conference, PDP, and Congress will fall apart like a pack of cards," Parihar predicted.

Parihar also addressed concerns about terrorism, claiming that the BJP has made significant progress in combating it. "Terrorism is also like a lamp that is fluttering before it gets extinguished, and very soon Kashmir will be terrorism-free," she said.(ANI)
