Rachel Zegler’s Snow White has been through the wringer—critics trashed it, trolls had a field day, and the box office numbers were anything but magical. Yet, somehow, the Disney live-action remake still managed to become the second-highest-grossing film of Zegler’s career, raking in a worldwide total of $142 million. Even with an underwhelming performance at the box office, Snow White has helped push Zegler’s career global earnings past the $700 million mark.

Opening with $42 million domestically, Snow White suffered a brutal 66% drop in its second weekend, collecting only $14 million. That decline saw the fairy tale flop lose its crown to Jason Statham’s action-packed A Working Man, which debuted with $15.5 million. Meanwhile, The Chosen: The Last Supper – Part 1 also climbed the ranks, taking the #3 spot with an $11.7 million haul.

For context, Snow White’s biggest opening competitor, Steven Soderbergh’s Black Bag, debuted with just $4.2 million in its second weekend, while Captain America: Brave New World and Robert Pattinson’s Mickey 17 struggled to keep up, both earning less than $4 million. Despite these numbers, Snow White’s total earnings are still enough to land it just behind The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, Zegler’s most successful film to date, which grossed $349 million worldwide.

While Snow itself may not be the blockbuster Disney had hoped for, it is impossible to ignore the impact it has had on Zegler’s career. The actress, who first made waves with West Side Story ($74 million worldwide), has continued to build an impressive resume, starring in Shazam! Fury of the Gods ($134 million globally) and the indie thriller Y2K ($3.7 million).

With Snow White adding to her box office tally, it is clear that despite the relentless online trolling and controversy, Zegler remains a bankable star in Hollywood. Even as Twitter warriors continue to debate her casting, her career trajectory suggests she is here to stay. Whether Snow White’s numbers improve or not, the real winner in all this is Rachel Zegler.
