Did you know Millie Bobby Brown was in Modern Family?

Send Push

Millie Bobby Brown is a name that instantly brings to mind telekinetic nosebleeds, Eggo waffles, and Stranger Things marathons. But did you know that long before she was battling the Demogorgon, she had a tiny but sassy role in Modern Family? Yes, Eleven herself once roamed the suburbs of California—on a bicycle, no less!

Did you know Millie Bobby Brown was in Modern Family?

In Season 6, Episode 17 (Closet? You Will Love It!), Millie made a super-brief cameo as Lizzie, a neighbourhood girl with some serious attitude. The episode follows Phil, Luke, and Manny as they try to take down a creepy drone invading their privacy (and accidentally capturing Phil’s ahem wardrobe malfunction). Desperate to keep up with the chase, Manny borrows a bike from Lizzie, who shoots back a savage reminder about how he still has not returned her mum’s humidifier. Classic.

Although her screen time was barely a few seconds, Millie’s line delivery was spot on, foreshadowing the fierce performances she would later bring to Hollywood. If you were not paying close attention, you probably missed it. But now that you know, time for a Modern Family rewatch, right?

From guest roles to Hollywood royalty

Millie has been in the acting game for a while. Her first-ever gig was in ABC’s Once Upon a Time in Wonderland at just nine years old. She also made brief appearances in NCIS, Grey’s Anatomy, and Intruders before her big break as Eleven in Stranger Things. That role catapulted her into international fame, earning her two Primetime Emmy nominations and an avalanche of awards, from MTV Movie & TV Awards to the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

And she is not just an actress—Millie has already stepped into the producer’s chair. She played a huge role behind the scenes in Enola Holmes and Damsel, proving that she is not just here to play but to rule.

With a blockbuster resume that includes Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Godzilla vs. Kong, and the Enola Holmes franchise, it is safe to say that the little girl from Modern Family is now Hollywood’s unstoppable force. Keep an eye out—because wherever she pops up next, she is sure to make it legendary!
