Virgin River fans 'not ready' as season 6 teaser reveals first glimpse at Jack and Mel's wedding

Virgin River season six is almost here and a new teaser trailer has offered fans their first glimpse at the wedding of the year.

At the end of the hit’s fourth season, Jack Sheridan (played by Martin Henderson) got down on one knee and proposed to Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge).

After a tragic miscarriage and a forest fire in season five, the beloved pair are finally ready to tie the knot.

Coming this December on Thursday 19th, the next season of Virgin River will centre around the build-up to what promises to be a glamorous and impossibly romantic affair.

Viewers even get a glimpse at Mel’s wedding dress, while Jack brushes up nicely in a sharp tuxedo.

The trailer kicks off with a montage of the couple’s most adorable moments playing alongside Jack’s now iconic proposal in voiceover.

“Mel, from the moment I set eyes on you I knew you were special,” he says.

“And as I’ve fallen deeper in love with you, my feelings have only grown stronger.

“And I want to spend the rest of my life making you the happiest woman in the . What I’m asking is… will you marry me?”

Some snippets from the upcoming season were then shown, including flashes of Mel’s bachelorette party and Jack grinning from ear to ear whilst riding on a horse.

Fans couldn’t contain themselves after seeing the very first footage from Virgin River’s impending return.

“Can't wait for 19 December,” one fan said on X (formerly ), adding a shocked emoji for good measure.

“Excited for the return of Virgin River on December 19! Can’t wait to see what happens next with Jack and Mel,” another replied.

A third said: “Can’t believe that Mel and Jack are finally getting married. Been waiting for this moment since S2. It’s already marked in my calendar. Can’t wait to watch S6 in 2 months.”

Over on YouTube, one devotee exclaimed: “YAY!!! The wedding of the year!! Can't wait!!”

And another admitted: “I’m not ready for that”, with a love heart and crying emoji.

Get the tissues ready, because Jack and Mel’s Virgin River wedding is destined to be one for the history books.
