Sunday Brunch Tim Lovejoy's mix-up on Sunday Brunch leaves fans and guests chuckling

Host of Sunday Brunch Tim Lovejoy had viewers in stitches after a hilarious gaffe on the Channel 4 programme. Tim and his co-host Simon Rimmer were joined by Lucy Beaumont, Pixie Lott, Blossoms, Gary Lightbody, Ellie Leach and Sophia Warner on Sunday morning (September 15).

However, the show took a comedic turn when Tim made an error. The former Soccer AM host misnamed the famous ship HMS Belfast as HMV Belfast.

Tim was swiftly corrected by his co-host Simon, leading him to quickly rephrase his statement. Addressing guest Gary, Tim asked: "So Gary, by the way you were at HMV Belfast yesterday. How was that, was that good? "

He added: "We've got a picture of it there, here you go."

Simon was quick to point out the correct name was HMS. Laughing off Tim's minor blunder, Gary assured the hosts he still enjoyed himself regardless, reports the Express.

Viewers, who noticed the slip-up, took to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, to comment. One viewer quipped: "That HMV/HMS joke was literally the funniest thing I have ever ever heard we are so f*****g back. I want to cheer."

Sunday Brunch returned to screens over the weekend following a brief break due to the 2024 Paralympic games. Earlier this month, fans were disappointed when they discovered their favourite Sunday show was cancelled.

Irritated fans quickly voiced their frustration in the comments section at the time, expressing their annoyance over a last-minute programme change announced on their Facebook page.

Viewers have taken to social media to express their frustration. One annoyed fan posted: "Oh no... that's thrown my routine of the window ... cats are going to miss Petflix," while another joined in with: "Missing Sunday Brunch this morning, look forward to next week."

Two separate viewers shared, "What am I going to do Sunday," and "Nooooo!! What am I going to do tomorrow morning now," accompanied by disappointed emojis.

Sunday Brunch airs Sundays from 9:30am on Channel 4.
