Strictly Come Dancing fans in hysterics over Nikita Kuzmin's reaction to shock dance-off

Nikita Kuzmin's shocked reaction to the latest dance-off has left fans in stitches.

The professional dancer looked gobsmacked when announced JLS singer JB Gill and his professional partner as the first couple to compete in the dance-off. The camera caught with eyes wide and jaw hanging wide open as his partner Sam Quek also appeared surprised to hear JB's name.

Many fans took to to share their agreement with Nikita as one shared a screenshot of the professional dancer's reaction and wrote: "Me too Nikita me too." Another person tweeted: "Nikita's reaction was so me, what do you mean Amy and JB are in the dance off?!" A third agreed, saying: "Same Nikita, same." And one more said: "Nikita is all of us." While one added: "I need a screenshot of Nikita's shocked face." A Strictly fan added: "Nikita's face at JB in the dance off says it all!"

JB and Amy faced Paul Merson and Karen Hauer in the dance-off and were eventually saved by the judges. But after JB found himself in the bottom two of the leaderboard, Strictly fans claimed to have identified a new "curse" on the show which has to do with the running order.

Fans have drawn comparisons between JB and Shayne Ward, who have been consistent performers in the ballroom, but after opening this week and last week's show respectively, they found themselves in the dance-off. A fan took to X, writing: "Again the curse of going first and being middle of the leaderboard. Remember to save your favourites - they're not always safe!" Another reacted: "first to dance on the live show curse has struck AGAIN."

When he was eliminated from Strictly, Paul was asked by Tess Daly about his time on the show. He said: "It's been really good. For anybody I talk to, I would say you've got to go on this show. It's amazing - everybody," before he jokingly added: "There's a Tottenham fan over there called Lincoln and even he's nice!"

He then praised professional dance partner Karen, saying: "It's been amazing, honestly, amazing. I loved every minute of it, I've had a great teacher. She's been amazing, absolutely amazing and I couldn't wish for a better coach. I've loved every minute of it. I can dance now - I've won because I can dance, I couldn't dance before and I can half dance now. It's a bonus, absolute bonus."

Karen also praised Paul for being what Strictly is about, crediting him for his great improvements. She said: "Absolutely, you've been a joy. I've never giggled this much. My abs are really tight now. I am so proud of you. Every week you have showed up, you have improved.

"You're what Strictly is about and I want to thank you for bringing such joy and just showing everyone that it is possible with a little bit of work and lots of giggles." Strictly returns next week with a Halloween special, during which the remaining 11 celebrities will take to the dancefloor with their scariest outfits to perform Halloween-themed routines.
