Snickers and Twix flavour iced coffees hit B&M shelves – but people spot problem

Chocolate lovers were rejoicing at the arrival of and Twix iced coffees in stores this week becoming the latest treat to arrive from the US.

The bottles have hit shelves as part of a collaboration with Victor Allen's Coffee and are retailing at £2.50 a pop for 405ml. Snaps of the new treat were shared by 's New Foods UK page. It follows the introduction of Mars and Galaxy iced coffees last year.

"Had the Snickers one today and it is really nice," one person responded positively. "Oh wow and I'm going there today," added another Facebook user hoping to snap them up.

A third person praised: "The Twix ones lovely. Very sweet but I do have a sweet tooth." And a fourth hailed: "They are decent sized bottles, bigger than the Costa ones. I tried the Snickers it was really nice icy cold."

Despite this, other shoppers were quick to hit out at the size and taste of the products. "They are tiny bottles, they are okay drinks, nothing earth shattering though," one Facebook user said.

"These are absolutely vile, I tried them this weekend," added a second speaking from experience. A third person declared: "Awful! Doesn't taste like coffee or snickers, terrible after taste of artificial sweetener. Waste of £2.50."

A fourth agreed: "Definitely not worth £2.50. Taste nothing like they are advertised." Whilst a fifth commented: "Saw these earlier, first time seeing this post just now though. Didn't buy though, they sounded so sickly and gross so I just stayed clear."

Victor Allen describes the Snickers iced coffee as "made with real cream and sugar to provide the best taste possible!" It adds: "Flavours of chocolate, caramel, and roasted peanut with a hint of sweet and salty goodness."

Contrary to some Facebook users' belief, however, each bottle is a relatively light 220 calories. Total fat and total sugar content stand at 2.5g and 40g respectively.
