No, don’t worry – it's not just you. The PlayStation Network really is down right now. The popular PSN service hit troubles overnight with UK fans waking up to problems this morning. According to Sony's status page, it seems services such as Account management, Gaming and social, PlayStation Video and PlayStation Store are offline and all showing red with PlayStation saying: "Some services are experiencing issues".
This latest problem is clearly a major nightmare for Sony with outage monitor, Down Detector showing over 3,500 complaints at its peak. It also appears to be a global issue with users from all over the world saying they can't currently get online.
Many fans have also now taken to social media platforms such as X (formerly Twitter) to vent their frustrations.
One PSN fan named MK said: "How long are we gonna suffer like this? Networks still down."
Whilsy another called Hoshi, added: "Of course the PlayStation servers go down on the first day of October."
And user Greggy said he might have to switch to Nintendo this morning to get his fix of gaming with the PlaySatation fan saying: PlayStation network being down means it's time to beat paper mario on switch!"
Sony is yet to respond or confirm when its online servers will be back but Mirror will keep you posted and will update this article as soon as we hear more.
One thing that is certain, it's a bad start to the day for the 123 million users who access the service monthly
