If there’s one thing you will always find in my house, it’s a candle. I love nothing more than burning scented candles in every room, especially when the nights get darker, and they’re perfect for creating a cosy atmosphere, not to mention making everywhere smell amazing.
I’ve tried out plenty of candles over the years, but one brand that I come back to time and time again is . It might be known for its perfumes (which count Stacey Solomon as a fan), but its home fragrance range is one of the best around, and it just launched a , so naturally I had to try one out.

I snapped up the , £38, and I genuinely think I’ve found my new favourite festive fragrance. It has a cosy, inviting scent that feels Christmassy without being cliched.
Rather than smelling like pine or gingerbread, both of which are go-to scents for Christmas candles, the has notes of red apples, muddled berries and vanilla bean. There’s also hints of candy floss, jasmine bloom, sweet pear and Hinoki woods, all of which add up to a truly unusual scent that’s sweet, warm and comforting – everything Christmas should be.
It didn’t take long after first lighting it for the smell to waft through my living room, and one of the reasons I’m such a big fan of is because of how well they burn. There’s no thick smoke or black residue left everywhere, and they don’t burn down quickly like some candles.
This is mostly due to the fact they’re made from , rather than paraffin wax, which means they burn much longer and cleaner, not to mention making them vegan. They’re not too large, so are perfect for sitting on a mantlepiece or coffee table, but still have a 40 hour burn time so they’ll last ages.
Each candle’s scent is made up of 12-14% natural fragrance oils, and their scent is also infused all the way down the candle, rather than just in the top section like some, so you’ll always get a really strong smell. Apart from the , the new Christmas range also includes and , both of which give a different festive feel.
Fireplace is perfect for those who prefer a deeper, richer smell, with notes of juniper, birch leaf and raspberry. It’s rich, spicy and woody, perfect for conjuring up vibes of crackling wood and cosy blankets. Midnight Tulip, on the other hand, combines amber, incense, and patchouli with lemon, saffron and powdery damask rose for a lighter, fresher and more glamorous feeling scent.
Although Floral Street’s candles are one of my all-time favourites, I’m also partial to one from . Another fragrance brand, the Miller Harris candles have a burn time of up to 50 hours and come in beautiful luxe-looking stoneware jars. They’re also made from natural ingredients and burn beautifully, with a scent that lasts for ages.
