Mini Jimmy loves nothing more than horsing around with his pooch pals.
The five-year-old believes he is actually a and even takes his owner’s pets out for walks. Siobhan O’Kelly, a dog walker and trainer, takes extra care to ensure her horse and hounds are well socialised.
But she was stunned when American miniature horse Jimmy – who, at just over 3ft tall is smaller than a – ended up becoming the leader of the pack. Siobhan, who runs Wild Walks in Devon, told how Jimmy gallops up to the gate of his paddock to say hello to his canine pals every morning and night.

She said: “I never force or make them pose together… he loves his dog friends. He sniffs their bottoms as he copies them, which can be funny. He likes to try and groom them and occasionally, he has taken a dog’s lead and led them.”
Jimmy’s bond with his four-legged friends has made him something of a local celebrity, too. “Everyone loves Jimmy and the ,” Siobhan said. “They always ask for updates.”
