'I'm sleeping with my dad's 29-year-old girlfriend - but that's not the most shocking part'

A man has confessed he is having an affair with his father's partner - but it's his dad's admission that has made him question everything.

His dad has been in a with a 29-year-old woman for two years after the couple met online. The son claims she has been flirting with him whenever his dad isn't around and ow the pair are having a secret . But the love triangle got even more thorny after the father confessed he has plans to propose to his young girlfriend. The 22-year-old son now wants to end it but his dad's girlfriend doesn't - and is threatening to tell his if he does.

He explained that his mum died when he was a child and while his dad brought him and his two siblings up alone he never brought another woman into the house. It was only when they had all moved out he got into a new relationship. Calling him a "reasonable looking guy" it wasn't long before he met the "very attractive" woman online.

He told agony aunt: "I was pleased for dad, though she is nearer my age (22) than his, so I did think she was a bit young for him. Whatever, they seemed happy so I didn't say anything. They've now been together for two years and my dad is besotted. The trouble is that recently, she's been flirting with me whenever Dad isn’t around, and at a family party in August, we ended up outside in a passionate clinch. Things got quite steamy that night and it wasn't long before we started an affair."

The son also revealed that his dad works away frequently, which means it's easy for them to meet up and even though he knows it's wrong, he said he got "caught up" in the thrill of it all and kept pushing the guilt to the back of his mind, but now it's a lot more complicated after a confession from his dad.

"Now my dad has told us kids that he wants to marry her, and asked us what we all think. I was gobsmacked and told her straight away that our relationship had to end, but she got really upset and threatened to tell my father about us. I feel like whatever I do, this is all going to end in disaster."

The advice given from the agony aunt was that he has no choice but to tell his dad the truth. They said: "It's clear she doesn't really love him and to blackmail you in this way is additional proof that she' s a nasty piece of work. What does she hope to gain?" The agony aunt also slammed the son for the betrayal of his father and said he needs to confess and apologise and hope he will eventually be forgiven but warned him to expect his father to be furious.
