(Udaipur Kiran) — Realme’s much-anticipated GT 8 Pro global launch may have been quietly rescheduled to avoid overlapping with the unveiling of its biggest rival — the OnePlus 15.
According to recent reports, Realme had initially planned to host the global launch event for the GT 8 Pro between November 18 and November 20. However, fresh rumors suggest that OnePlus will debut its next flagship, the OnePlus 15, on November 13. To avoid direct competition and media overlap, Realme is now reportedly shifting its own event to an earlier window — between November 10 and November 12, with November 11 being the most likely date.
If accurate, the move highlights how seriously Realme considers OnePlus its primary competitor in the premium flagship segment. The GT 8 Pro’s specifications and positioning clearly aim to rival the upcoming OnePlus device.
The Realme GT 8 Pro is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, with the company determined to be the first brand in India to launch a smartphone with this top-tier SoC. The device is rumored to feature up to 16GB of RAM, a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED QHD+ display, and a massive 8,000mAh battery.
On the camera front, Realme is reportedly equipping the GT 8 Pro with a 50MP Sony Lytia LYT-700 primary sensor (1/1.5-inch), paired with a 200MP periscope telephoto lens using Samsung’s ISOCELL HP5 (1/1.56-inch) sensor.
The GT 8 Pro will likely debut first in China, alongside the standard GT 8, before its international rollout later in November. The timing adjustment suggests Realme is carefully strategizing its launch calendar to ensure maximum visibility and to avoid sharing the spotlight with OnePlus.
