Xiaomi Mix Flip With 50-Megapixel Cameras, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Chipset Launched: Price, Specifications

Xiaomi Mix Flip, the company’s first clamshell-style foldable phone, goes on sale in global markets on Thursday, two months after it was unveiled in China. For that segment, the phone packs a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor along with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Two 50-megapixel cameras on the outside of the screen come courtesy of a collaboration with Leica. The Xiaomi Mix Flip flaunts a 4.01-inch cover display and a 6.86-inch inner screen. It comes with a 4,780mAh battery and 67W charging support.

Xiaomi Mix Flip Price, Availability

The Xiaomi Mix Flip price is said to be at EUR 1,300, which is about Rs. 1,21,500 for only the 12GB+512GB RAM and storage variant. This device is said to come in Black and Purple colour variants only. The White variant seems to be exclusive to China only.

The Chinese variant does have the same configuration and translates to almost Rs 77,600, as it carries a price tag of CNY 6,499. For comparison, that makes the global variant quite expensive, and the company hasn’t announced any plans of launching the Mix Flip in India.

The dual-SIM (Nano+Nano) Xiaomi Mix Flip ships with Android 14 out of the box, overlain by the company’s HyperOS skin. The foldable phone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip from Qualcomm and 12GB of LPPDDR5X RAM — although the global variant isn’t offered in a 16GB memory option.

The outer shell is paired with a 4.01-inch 1.5K (1,392 x 1,280 pixels) ‘All Around Liquid’ AMOLED screen. The device itself has another 6.86-inch 1.5K (1,224 x 2,912 pixels) CrystalRes AMOLED inner screen, refreshing at 120Hz. Inner and outer displays support Dolby Vision and HDR10+ content.

Xiaomi Mix Flip is offered with a 50-megapixel primary camera featuring a Light Fusion 800 sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with the sensor from OmniVision OV60A40 paired with up to up to 2x optical zoom capability, and both of these are fitted with Leica Vario-Summilux lenses. The inner display sports a 32-megapixel camera with OmniVision’s OV32B sensor.

With the global variant, the Xiaomi Mix Flip has 512GB of onboard UFS 4.0 storage. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, QZSS, NavIC, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.

The Mix Flip carries a 4,780mAh battery and supports wired fast charging at up to 67W. It also features a side-mounted fingerprint reader for biometric authentication. In the unfolded form, the measure of the handset is 167.5×74.02×7.8mm while in the folded state, it is 85.54×74.02×15.99mm. The total weight is 192g.
